1. What this is
Psychoanalyzeme provides a suite of self-screening tools based on validated psychological instruments (PHQ-9, GAD-7, IPIP-50, AQ, ASRS, and others). These tools are not a medical diagnosis and not medical advice. They are educational instruments to support self-reflection, and their results are screening flags, not clinical determinations.
If you are concerned about your mental health, please consult a qualified practitioner. If you are in crisis, see our crisis resources page.
2. Pricing & payment
The pricing model is:
- Short clinical screens (PHQ-9, GAD-7, SWLS, UCLA-3) — $1 each. Your first short test is free.
- Longer personality and trait tests (Big Five, HEXACO, AQ-50, ASRS, ECR-R, IRI, SD3, LSRP) — $2 each. These don't come with a free tier.
- Bundle — $9 one-time payment unlocks all 19 tests plus the cross-test AI narrative report (a multi-page synthesis that generates once you've completed any 10 of the 19). Covers any new tests added later.
All payments are one-time. There are no subscriptions or recurring charges on the consumer site. Refunds for accidental purchases or duplicate charges are handled case-by-case — contact info@psychoanalyzeme.com.
3. How we handle your data
On .com, your test responses are stored against your account so you can view your results history at /account. You can request deletion at any time by emailing info@psychoanalyzeme.com.
We process minimal personal data: your email (for sign-in) and your test responses. We do not sell, share, or analyse your data for any purpose other than providing your results.
We use Resend for transactional email (sign-in links) and PayFast for payments when active. These providers have their own privacy policies.
4. Encryption & security
Your test answers, scores, and AI-written synthesis report are encrypted in your browser with a key derived from a passphrase only you know. We store the encrypted blobs; we cannot read them without your passphrase, which never leaves your device.
When you set up a passphrase you also get a 24-word recovery phrase. Save this phrase. If you forget your passphrase, the recovery phrase is the only way to get back into your data — we cannot reset it for you, and we cannot read your answers without one of those two. If you lose both, your encrypted data is gone forever.
One narrow exception: when you choose to generate the cross-test AI synthesis report, your decrypted scores briefly cross our servers on their way to the AI provider. The plaintext is never stored and is held only for the seconds it takes the AI to write your report — which we then return to your browser, where it's encrypted again before being saved.
Technical details: PBKDF2-SHA-256 with 600 000 iterations to derive the key-encrypting key, AES-GCM with random per-record IVs to seal each piece of data, BIP-39 wordlist for the recovery phrase. All cryptography runs in your browser via the standard Web Crypto API.
5. Acceptable use
- You must be at least 16 years old to take a test.
- Do not use these tools to assess anyone other than yourself. The tests are designed for first-person self-report.
- Do not present screening results as a diagnosis, to yourself or anyone else.
- Don't attempt to scrape, reverse-engineer, or redistribute the test items — they are public-domain instruments, but our presentation, scoring algorithms, and visualisations are not.
6. Crisis & safety
If a screening result flags concerns (especially around self-harm), the site will interrupt the results display and present crisis resources. This is a safety feature, not a clinical assessment. If you or someone you care about is in immediate danger, please contact your local emergency number or the appropriate hotline:
- South Africa — SADAG Suicide Crisis Line: 0800 567 567
- US — 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline: 988
- UK / Ireland — Samaritans: 116 123
- International — findahelpline.com
7. Limitation of liability
The screening tools are provided as-is, for educational use. We make no warranty that any score is accurate or applicable to your situation, and we accept no liability for decisions made on the basis of these results. Consult a qualified clinician before acting on any screening output.
8. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the product evolves. The "last updated" date at the top reflects the current version. Material changes will be highlighted on this page.
